The Jerusalem District Court convicted Shai Sheetrit, a school transportation driver, of committing sexual offenses against a special education student and drug-related offenses.

Indictment and Details of the Crimes

According to the indictment filed by the Jerusalem District Prosecutor's Office, represented by Adv. Sapir Mordechai, Sheetrit picked up the 15-year-old minor a year ago during a school transport route. After dropping off other students, he drove her to his home and provided her with a drug known as "Doctor." He then stopped his vehicle and committed sexual acts against her. The following day, he picked her up again, supplied her with more drugs, and after she experienced dizziness and blurred vision, carried her to the bedroom to commit further sexual acts. In both instances, he gave her 100 shekels before dropping her off at school.

The prosecution argued that the victim's testimony was fully credible and presented robust supporting evidence, including forensic findings, chat logs with a friend, and conversations the victim had with the ChatGPT application where she detailed the abuse. Prosecutors emphasized that Sheetrit deliberately targeted a vulnerable special education student, noticing self-harm marks on her hands, and altered his route to isolate her.

Court Verdict and Evidence

"The court accepts the victim's testimony fully and without hesitation, while dismissing the defendant's shifting and deceitful versions," the ruling stated.

The court noted that material contradictions undermined Sheetrit's defense throughout the legal proceedings. Furthermore, searches conducted at his home yielded approximately 238 grams of the drug "Doctor," 19.7 grams of cocaine, scales, and drug consumption equipment.

Sheetrit was convicted on two counts of unlawful penetration, inducing a minor to consume dangerous drugs, possession of drugs not for personal consumption, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
