Jane Remover Dropped from M3F Fest Lineup After Demanding Boycott of Israeli Band
American artist Jane Remover was dropped from the M3F Fest 2027 lineup after demanding the removal of Israeli band Temper City. Experimental producer Flying Lotus has replaced her.
The American artist Jane Remover has been removed from the lineup of the M3F Fest in Phoenix, Arizona, after issuing an ultimatum demanding the removal of the Israeli alternative rock band Temper City.
Last month, Jane Remover posted a story on Instagram stating: "Take this IDF band off the lineup or I'm not performing." The ultimatum was aimed at Temper City, an emerging Israeli indie-rock outfit.
When the festival organizers released their updated lineup for the event, scheduled to take place on March 5 and 6, 2027, Jane Remover's name was notably absent. In her place, the acclaimed experimental music producer Flying Lotus was added to the roster.
M3F Fest organizers have not officially commented on the reasons behind Jane Remover's departure from the lineup. Representatives for Temper City have also remained silent on the matter.
Temper City, a Los Angeles-based alternative rock band with Israeli roots, has released only two singles to date. Their debut track, Self Aware, became a viral sensation on TikTok earlier this year. Released through the indie label Thirty Knots in partnership with SoundOn (TikTok's distribution platform), the song climbed to the number one spot on Billboard's Alternative Airplay chart in July.
