Itay Turgeman Opens Up About Survivor Trauma and Return to Television

Actor Itay Turgeman returns to television in the VIP cooking show on Keshet 12, opening up about the heavy price he paid for participating in Survivor VIP. Turgeman reflects on the negative public image created for him and the first panic attack of his life, triggered by the broadcast of the episodes and harsh public criticism.

Turgeman shared candidly that until then he was a beloved actor, but the broadcast caused severe anxiety. He noted that the editing portrayed him as aggressive and arrogant, focusing heavily on him despite finishing in fifth place. This emotional turmoil followed his financial collapse during the COVID-19 pandemic, which forced him to declare bankruptcy and close his Tel Aviv restaurant.

Now, Turgeman is attempting to turn a new page in front of the cameras. In the new culinary show, he will compete alongside Eli Mazuz, hoping to present a more mature, calm, and positive side to viewers.
