"I thought I wasn't reading correctly," Ben Simhon said in a media interview. "I have no problem with protest, but between protest and illegal discrimination, there is a line. They cannot use freedom of expression to break the law."
This incident follows a recent event in Athens where an Israeli couple was expelled from a bar after the owner discovered their nationality. Reports also indicate rising tensions on the island, including flyers accusing Israelis of taking over the territory.
"This is a violation of the law and blatant discrimination. We must cut this off immediately, as they are poisoning the entire island," Ben Simhon stated regarding the discriminatory signage and hostile environment.
