Israeli Man Gil Hallel Killed in Tragic Fall During Family Trip to Slovenia
Forty-four-year-old Gil Hallel from Kibbutz Yizre'el was killed in a tragic fall during a family vacation in Slovenia. The Foreign Ministry is assisting with repatriating his body.
Deep grief has struck Kibbutz Yizre'el in the Gilboa region: 44-year-old Gil Hallel, a married father of three, was killed today (Sunday) in a fatal fall during a family trip to Slovenia. The tragic incident occurred while Hallel was vacationing with his family in the country, and the exact circumstances are currently under review. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs was updated on the details of the case. The Department for Israelis Abroad and Israel's representation in the area are accompanying the family and assisting with the arrangements to transfer his body for burial in Israel. The date of his funeral has not yet been announced.
The kibbutz sorrowfully announced his death, stating: Gil was born and raised in Moshav Mikhmoret, arrived at Kibbutz Yizre'el following his marriage to a kibbutz member, and built his home there. Kibbutz members received the harsh news in shock and pain, and are wrapping the extended family, friends, children, and youth in support.
