Professional football leagues in Israel will continue their commemorative events this weekend for the victims and fallen of October 7 and the Iron Swords War. The Leagues Directorate announced that players in the Premier League and Leumit League will step onto the pitch wearing black armbands in their memory.

The tribute will take place during the sixth round of the Premier League and the ninth round of the Leumit League, as part of ongoing memorial activities held by the clubs. The Directorate noted that clubs continuously honor fans who were murdered or fell in the line of duty and are no longer with us.

Leagues Directorate Chairman Erez Kalfon stated: "Even three years after that terrible day of October 7, the bleeding wound in the heart of Israeli society and Israeli football remains open. The wearing of black armbands by the players is an expression of our national and moral duty—never to forget."
