Israeli Cinema Day Returns: Tickets for Just 10 Shekels Nationwide
Israel will hold its second Cinema Day of 2026 on October 14, offering movie tickets nationwide for a symbolic price of 10 shekels to support local films.
Israeli cinema is taking center stage this week as ticket prices drop to just 10 shekels. The Ministry of Culture and Sport is hosting its second Israeli Cinema Day of the year this coming Wednesday, October 14, 2026, across cinemas nationwide.
This nationwide initiative, carried out in partnership with cinema chains, cinematheques, and local creators, aims to support local artistic expression and encourage audiences back into theaters. The previous event in June drew a record-breaking 140,000 moviegoers.
Culture and Sport Minister Miki Zohar invited the public to experience original local storytelling. Dozens of Israeli films will be screened throughout the day, including highly anticipated premieres and popular favorites.
