Israeli Singer Bar Tsabari Embraces Digital Detox During Shabbat
Israeli singer Bar Tsabari shared with his Instagram followers that he now disconnects from his phone during Shabbat, describing the practice as a true brain massage.
Israeli singer Bar Tsabari revealed to his Instagram followers that he has started putting his phone away on Shabbat, describing the digital detox as a brain massage. Answering a fan's question about how his weekend went, the artist shared a photo from the tomb of the biblical patriarch Jacob and strongly recommended the practice.
While Tsabari does not define himself as newly religious, he has frequently spoken about his deep connection to faith. He previously shared that he avoids working on Saturdays and even turned down a lucrative financial offer to do so. Every morning, he recites the Modeh Ani prayer, washes his hands, and puts on tefillin.
Reflecting on his musical roots, Tsabari noted that his journey began in the synagogue, where he used to pray with his father and brothers. He recently traveled to Uman for Rosh Hashanah, feeling a strong spiritual pull to be there. He also opened up about the tragic loss of his first partner, Or Chaya Sheetrit, who passed away from cancer, explaining that her passing unlocked his creative depths.
