Israeli Basketball Teams Adjust European Travel Schedules to Enable Voting
Israeli basketball clubs adjust European travel schedules to allow players and staff to vote in upcoming national elections despite overlapping fixtures.

Israeli basketball teams face a scheduling dilemma ahead of next week's general elections, as European fixtures coincide with election day and players risk losing their right to vote.
Hapoel Jerusalem found an innovative solution ahead of their match against French side Le Mans on October 28. While foreign players will fly out on Monday, October 26, Israeli players and staff can cast their ballots in the morning and fly immediately afterward to join evening training.
Hapoel Holon also adjusted their travel plans, flying out on election day directly to Düsseldorf for their October 28 game against Rasta Vechta. Meanwhile, Maccabi Tel Aviv faces the toughest challenge, playing away against Crvena Zvezda at 21:00 on election night, while Hapoel Tel Aviv plays Anadolu Efes in Sofia on October 28.
