Electoral Irregularities and Vote-Buying Suspicions Spark Concern in Israel
Severe electoral irregularities in Israel have sparked deep concerns, including a polling station claiming a deceased woman had voted, alongside widespread suspicions of voter fraud and bribery.

A series of severe incidents and testimonies during election day has sparked deep concerns over electoral integrity, following revelations of deceased voters being marked as having voted and suspected vote-buying schemes across several municipalities. In one prominent case documented on video, 82-year-old Ariel Mirlman arrived at a polling station to cast his ballot, only to be told by election officials that his wife had already voted. Mirlman was left in shock and grief, pointing out to the staff that his wife, Irit, had passed away just three weeks prior to the election.
The incident concluded with an apology, prompting the municipal election integrity headquarters, headed by Deputy Mayor Dana Oren-Yanai, to file an urgent complaint demanding a thorough investigation into the suspected fraudulent use of deceased individuals' identities. Similar administrative anomalies were reported nationwide, including an incident in Yeroham where a resident was told his name had already been checked off while he was in Beersheba, as well as a comparable voting denial case in Ariel.
Alongside voter registration irregularities, reports surfaced regarding organized bribery attempts. According to local media reports from the southern region, a voter was allegedly offered 500 shekels in cash outside a polling station to cast her ballot for a specific party, an offer she firmly rejected. Concurrently, police arrested three Negev residents affiliated with the Ra'am party after officers discovered tens of thousands of items and cash envelopes intended for vote-buying operations.
Additional testimonies from election observers and polling committee members in Arab localities indicated that some voters arrived carrying fuel cards and pre-loaded gift cards, reportedly distributed in exchange for their votes.
