Israeli enterprise cybersecurity unicorn Island has announced a $400 million Series F funding round, valuing the company at $6.4 billion. The round comes just a year and a half after its previous valuation of $4.8 billion. The funding was led by Evolution Equity Partners, with participation from existing investors including Sequoia, Cyberstarts, Insight Partners, and Morgan Stanley.
Expanding Beyond the Secure Browser
Founded by Dan Amiga and Mike Fey, Island has grown rapidly since its inception, crossing the $200 million annual recurring revenue milestone and employing 1,000 workers globally, including 400 at its Tel Aviv development center. While originally known for its secure enterprise browser designed to replace standard consumer alternatives like Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge, Island has expanded its product portfolio into broader network security and artificial intelligence governance.

New Security and AI Control Offerings
To accommodate employees who prefer traditional browsers, Island developed dedicated browser extensions alongside two major complementary products. The first is a network security platform competing with industry giants like Cato Networks and Zscaler, which intelligently filters traffic across local and cloud environments. The second product, Control Plane, monitors and manages corporate artificial intelligence assets across endpoints, data layers, and identity management systems.
