29 Nations Condemn Iran Over European Terror Plots and Cyber Attacks
Twenty-nine nations issued a joint declaration condemning Iran for a wave of hybrid attacks, cyber threats, and proxy terrorism targeting Jewish communities and diplomats across Europe.
A joint statement condemning Iran was issued by 29 countries, including the United Kingdom, United States, France, Germany, Canada, and Australia. The declaration follows a wave of terrorist plots, arson attacks, cyber threats, and hybrid operations targeting civilians, diplomats, and Jewish communities across Europe and beyond.
British Intelligence Links IRGC to RAF Fairford Incident
At the center of the joint statement is an official finding by the British government attributing full responsibility to Iran for a serious security breach at the Royal Air Force base RAF Fairford on September 27. According to British intelligence, the incident demonstrates the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps' willingness to project hostile operations beyond state borders through clandestine networks and proxy organizations.
The signatory nations noted that this activity compounds a disturbing series of recent attacks across Europe directly targeting Jewish communities, Iranian dissident journalists, and Western interests. Some of these assaults were claimed by the proxy group Harakat Ashab al-Yamin al-Islamiya.
Any attempt by Iran to threaten, silence, intimidate, harass, or harm individuals on our soil through proxies or any other means is completely unacceptable. Iran must know that we are united and determined to defend our sovereignty, protect our communities, and ensure that all perpetrators face justice, the foreign ministers declared.
European Jewish Leadership Demands Action
Following the ministerial declaration, Rabbi Pinchas Goldschmidt, president of the Conference of European Rabbis, warned that the threat facing European Jews remains acute and daily. He stressed that families should not live in fear when attending synagogues or community centers, calling for the systematic dismantling of extremist networks and their funding sources.
The unified stance by Western powers marks a significant turning point in addressing Tehran's covert operations, signaling a tightened security framework designed to counter proxy warfare.
