Fire in an eight-story building in Karmiel: woman rescued

Firefighters rescued a woman from a burning apartment on the first floor of an eight-story residential building in Karmiel. Five firefighting and rescue teams from the Central Galilee station were dispatched to the scene following a report to the 102 emergency center.

Upon arrival, firefighters identified the source of the fire and determined there was an immediate risk to a person trapped inside. The teams entered the apartment, located the woman, and evacuated her while simultaneously working to extinguish the blaze. Afterward, firefighters conducted a thorough sweep of the building to ensure no other residents were in danger.

Reshef Talia Murad, the incident commander, stated:

"Upon our arrival, we realized this was a life-threatening situation, as an apartment on the first floor was burning with a woman trapped inside. We acted quickly to reach the source of the fire and rescue the victim. We managed to get her out and gain control of the blaze. We then searched the entire building to ensure there were no other trapped individuals."
