The Kfar Saba Magistrate's Court is set to deliver its verdict this morning (Sunday) regarding the assistants at "Gan Sigal" in Hod HaSharon, who were convicted of over 270 offenses of violence against toddlers.

The defendants are Esther Adiv, 74, the mother of nursery owner Sigal Isus, and Sarah Halili, 57, her sister. The indictment attributes a series of severe offenses allegedly committed against toddlers aged one to two who were under their care at the nursery.

During a hearing held about a year ago concerning the wording of the indictment, one of the parents stated: "I went to the police to watch the footage. I saw how they put my child into a dark room as punishment, a two-year-old child. I saw how they picked up my child and slammed him onto a chair. The children lived in hell."

According to the indictment, the two cared for a group of 15 toddlers, and the acts occurred between May and July 2023. Among other things, it is alleged that they threw toddlers to the floor, slammed them onto mattresses, and forcefully shoved food into their mouths.
