Legendary seafood restaurant Hazedef in Rishon LeZion is closing its doors on November 15 after 25 years, marking the end of an era for local culinary lovers.

The Israeli culinary scene is facing another poignant farewell as "Hazedef", one of the most beloved and enduring seafood institutions in Rishon LeZion, prepares to close its doors permanently on November 15 after 25 years of operation.
Founded by Chef David Avital, the restaurant has served generations of diners from Rishon LeZion, Holon, Bat Yam, and across Israel. Over two and a half decades, it became a local landmark known for its fresh fish, seafood, generous salads, and warm family hospitality.
The owners announced the closure on social media, expressing deep gratitude to their loyal clientele. "After 25 years of hospitality, celebrations, flavors, and shared memories, Hazedef is ending its journey," the farewell statement read.
Until its final closure mid-month, the restaurant will operate on a modified schedule from Monday to Saturday, between 13:00 and 20:00, allowing patrons one last opportunity to dine and say goodbye to the staff.
