Hamas Accused of Siphoning Millions From Gaza Aid Trucks
Hamas reportedly accumulates 250 million shekels monthly from aid trucks entering the Gaza Strip. Despite shock in envelope communities, Israel refuses to halt humanitarian assistance.

Residents of the Gaza envelope communities expressed profound shock following reports that Hamas accumulates 250 million shekels monthly from humanitarian aid trucks entering the Gaza Strip. Despite this severe violation of agreements, Israel has no intention of halting the aid.
The Financial Mechanism of Hamas
Reports indicate that Hamas generates these massive funds by extorting merchants in Gaza for goods permitted through the private sector. The terror organization collects approximately 10,000 shekels per truck, amounting to roughly 3 billion shekels annually. The Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories revealed that private sector merchants recently halted operations due to these exorbitant extortion demands.
International Reaction and Future Outlook
Nikolay Mladenov, president of the Peace Council, condemned Hamas's actions, stating that the group will continue exploiting aid as long as it maintains control over the territory. Mladenov suggested deploying a multinational force to secure specific areas and establish a technocratic government. However, Israel maintains its refusal to accept a multinational force until Hamas disarms, at least until the upcoming elections.
