Haim Meydan, chairman and owner of the Boney Binyan Group and a prominent figure in Israel's construction sector for over five decades, has passed away. His family and company employees released a mourning statement, honoring a career dedicated to developing the family business from a small contracting firm into a major real estate and development enterprise.

The company's history dates back to 1972, when Eliezer Mednik and his partner Mordechai founded the firm. Haim, Eliezer's son, later joined the family business, playing a central role in its expansion into residential construction, entrepreneurship, and urban renewal.

Over decades of activity, Meydan oversaw hundreds of projects, with the Boney Binyan Group completing more than 500 projects totaling over 500,000 square meters. Their portfolio spans residential buildings, public facilities, and commercial centers, with a strong focus on the Sharon region.

Meydan's professional footprint is particularly evident in Ra'anana, where the company constructed several iconic public and educational institutions, including the Aviv High School, the MetroWest Education Campus, the Paamonim School, and the Yad LeBanim memorial house.

Reflecting on his career during an interview celebrating the company's golden jubilee, Meydan spoke of his personal connection to the structures he helped build. "At the start of every school year, I get emotional anew as thousands of children stream into schools our company built," he said.

In recent years, Meydan served as chairman alongside his sons Alon and Noam, who lead the group as co-CEOs, maintaining a three-generation family tradition in the construction industry. His funeral was held at the Kfar Nahman cemetery in Ra'anana.
