Guy Pines Show Chief Editor Noy Gavish Steps Down After 19 Years
Noy Gavish, the long-time chief editor of Keshet 12's Guy Pines entertainment show, has announced her departure after 19 years to launch an independent media venture named FOMO with colleague Rinat Zoaretz.
A major shakeup is hitting Israel's entertainment television landscape. Following the announcement that the long-running show Good Evening with Guy Pines on Keshet 12 is temporarily going off the air until after the High Holy Days to conclude its current season, a major behind-the-scenes departure has been revealed.
Journalist Noy Gavish (Messing), who has served as the head of the news desk and chief editor for the iconic entertainment program, announced she is leaving the show after 19 years.
A 19-Year Journey Ends
Gavish shared her emotional farewell in an Instagram post, reflecting on her long career with the program:
"How do you summarize 19 years in one post? Honestly, it feels like an entire lifetime. I arrived at the Guy Pines show as a young girl from Kibbutz Yiftah, and I leave as a Tel Avivian, married, and a mother of three. For so many years, working here was a huge part of who I am. I was fortunate to make a living doing what I love, learning from the best in the industry, traveling the world, and building true friendships."
Launching the FOMO Project
The driving force behind her departure is a new creative venture. Gavish recently launched an Instagram page called FOMO, which quickly evolved from a side project into a full-time passion.
She will not be embarking on this new journey alone. Gavish is partnering with her colleague from the show, Rinat Zoaretz, to run and expand FOMO as a full-time independent business.
Gavish concluded her announcement by thanking host Guy Pines and executive Maya Reznik for their years of support and for backing her decision to step out on her own.
