Global Wine & Spirits Acquires Israel's Top Bartending Academy
Israel's leading alcohol importer Global Wine & Spirits has fully acquired Zman Amiti, the country's oldest and largest training school for professional bartenders.

Israel's largest alcohol importer, Global Wine & Spirits, announced on Sunday the full acquisition of Zman Amiti, the country's oldest and largest professional training institution for bartenders.
The strategic move aims to establish a direct connection between leading global alcohol brands and the professional hospitality community, redefining the consumption experience and nightlife culture in Israel.
The Backbone of Israeli Nightlife
Since its establishment in 1989, Zman Amiti has served as the primary talent pipeline for the Israeli hospitality sector. With over 160,000 graduates working locally and globally, the institution operates four major training centers in Tel Aviv, Herzliya, Haifa, and Beer Sheva. It has become a popular destination for young Israelis, particularly demobilized IDF soldiers.
The transaction includes full ownership of all company assets, the brand, training facilities, and the instructional staff. The acquisition will enable the expansion of specialized wine, coffee, and cocktail courses tailored for both corporate clients and private enthusiasts.
Strategic Vision
Yoav Suchary, CEO of Zman Amiti, commented on the acquisition:
"Zman Amiti was established to shape the drinking culture in Israel. We provide demobilized IDF soldiers with their very first stepping stone just before they enter the professional world—it is their springboard into civilian life."
Aliza Dayanim Alteras, VP of Marketing at Global Wine & Spirits, added that integrating the school will allow the company to "leave an innovative and creative mark, fostering a high-quality, professional, and responsible drinking culture in Israel."
Market Position
Global Wine & Spirits, a subsidiary of the international Falic Group, is a dominant player in the local beverage market. The company holds long-term distribution agreements with global giants such as Moet-Hennessy, Brown-Forman, and William Grant & Sons.
Its premium portfolio includes brands like Jack Daniel's, Finlandia, Glenfiddich, Glenmorangie, Monkey Shoulder, Hendrick's, Tequila Cincoro, Belvedere, Dom Perignon, and Moet & Chandon, alongside prominent local wineries Dalton and Titora.
