Global markets opened the week with cautious sentiment as investors monitored foreign exchange fluctuations, upcoming central bank decisions, and upcoming tech earnings. Wall Street futures pointed to slight gains ahead of major reports from tech giants including Microsoft and Amazon, while US Treasury yields dropped to one-month lows.

In the foreign exchange market, the US dollar index (DXY) eased to 101.64 points amid declining US yields. The euro strengthened by 0.16% to 1.122 dollars following Moody's decision to avoid downgrading France's credit rating. Meanwhile, Brent crude retreated by over 1% to around 115 dollars per barrel, following reports of diplomatic talks mediated by Qatar in Tehran to ease regional tensions.

Central banks are expected to dominate the upcoming schedule, with the Federal Reserve, the European Central Bank, and the Bank of Japan widely anticipated to keep interest rates unchanged. Investors will closely scrutinize upcoming US macroeconomic data, including consumer confidence and PCE inflation figures, alongside the financial results of major artificial intelligence players to gauge market direction.
