Gideon Kouts, a veteran Israeli journalist and media researcher who spent decades reporting from Paris and across Europe, has passed away at the age of 78. Throughout his long career, Kouts was widely known for his work with Israel Radio and later the Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation (Kan).
Kouts covered major European events, notably reporting from Ukraine at the onset of the Russian invasion in 2022. Alongside his journalism, he pursued an academic career, serving as a professor of communication and culture at Paris 8 University and editing the academic journal Kesher.
