Benny Gantz revealed on the "Political Kitchen" podcast that he attempted to contact Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ahead of the Jewish New Year, but received no response.

During the interview with journalists Sefi Ovadia and Lior Keenan on the Knesset Channel, the leader of the National Unity party stated that he reached out to party leaders across the political spectrum, with the exception of Minister Itamar Ben Gvir.

"I called, they didn't get back to me. In my opinion, it's a slip-up by his staff, not him. In the end, he is our prime minister, and I think as a national leader I need to maintain this code," Gantz explained. He added that he also spoke with lawmakers including Yaakov Asher and Yaakov Margi.

Addressing his relationship with former allies who left his faction, Gantz noted that he maintained holiday communication via WhatsApp and apple-and-honey emojis. When asked if he has forgotten past grievances and political injuries, Gantz responded firmly: "I don't forget, I remember everything."
