Gal Naor, the daughter of Israeli billionaire Yitzhak Tshuva, is in advanced negotiations to acquire a 50% to 60% stake in the Hamat Gader resort. The investment is estimated at 100 million to 150 million NIS and will be used to expand and operate the popular vacation site.

Naor is negotiating the purchase directly with the four kibbutzim that currently own and manage the resort: Mevo Hama, Kfar Haruv, Afik, and Meizar (which has since been privatized). The agreement is expected to be signed in the coming days.

Located in the southern Golan Heights, Hamat Gader spans 150 dunams and attracts nearly half a million visitors annually. The site features ancient mineral-rich hot springs, a spa, and a crocodile farm housing 120 crocodiles.

The planned expansion under Naor's leadership includes developing a high-end Wellness Resort, which will feature upgraded baths, a modern spa complex, restaurants, hospitality areas, and guest rooms.

Gal Naor, a graduate of the Pratt Institute School of Architecture in New York, previously managed the extensive renovation and restoration of the Plaza Hotel in New York when it was owned by her father. Her current hotel and real estate portfolio also includes a 48-dunam project in Ir Yamim in Netanya, a major development at the Dead Sea, and the Park Bavli residential project.
