Gadi Eisenkot to Mordechai David: 'Go serve in the army, then come back'
Yashar! party chairman Gadi Eisenkot was filmed in a heated exchange with right-wing activist Mordechai David at the beach. Eisenkot refused to engage with David's political provocations, stating he only cooperates with those who have served in the IDF.
The chairman of the 'Yashar!' party, Gadi Eisenkot, was filmed today, Friday, in a tense exchange with Mordechai David at the beach. The incident occurred after David approached him and attempted to film himself questioning the politician about events following the October 7 massacre.
Eisenkot refused to answer the questions directly, stating:
'I only cooperate with those who served in the army. You did not serve—go serve, and then come back to me.'
During the confrontation, David accused Eisenkot of wanting to 'surrender' and pursue a deal 'at any price' shortly after the war began, while also questioning his criticism of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. When David asked about potential cooperation with Mansour Abbas and Sami Abu Shehadeh, Eisenkot did not provide an answer.
In another video published by David himself, Eisenkot is seen placing his hand under David's chin. David immediately asked if he intended to form a government with Mansour Abbas or Sami Abu Shehadeh, to which Eisenkot replied:
'Make sure Netanyahu doesn't go with Abbas again.'
Mordechai David is a right-wing activist and a convicted criminal who frequently harasses figures identified with the camp opposing the government. He enjoys support from various politicians, including Minister of National Security Itamar Ben Gvir. In recent months, he has been documented confronting journalist Anat Kamm and media personality Eyal Berkovic. He has also harassed the judge presiding over the trial of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, targeted television host Lucy Aharish at her home with a megaphone, and harassed retired Supreme Court President Aharon Barak by cursing at him and blocking his vehicle.
