Reuters news agency reports that the incident occurred in the Bang Kruai district of Nonthaburi province. Police identified the perpetrator as a student. In images released by emergency services, students were seen evacuating the Debsirin Nonthaburi school, located on the northwestern outskirts of Bangkok, while ambulances operated at the scene. One image shows a person on a stretcher outside an ambulance, while another depicts a medical staff member treating a victim.
According to local authority data, approximately 3,100 students and 147 teachers were enrolled at the school for the 2025 academic year. This marks the second school shooting in Thailand this year; last February, a teacher was killed and a student was wounded in the Hat Yai district in southern Thailand after an armed individual opened fire at a school.
