Eliav Batito, head of the Civilian Public Diplomacy Headquarters, harshly criticized the Israeli government and its leadership following an unusual security incident involving a FlyDubai flight.
"Seven hours have passed since the attempted terror attack on the plane, and the Israeli government is still silent. While the leadership abandoned the public diplomacy front, the global media is rewriting reality: a severe terror incident is being whitewashed and portrayed as a violent 'brawl' among passengers."
Batito emphasized that the official silence enables the world to downplay the severity of the event and absolve the terrorists of responsibility.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that Israel is in constant contact with relevant parties to ensure the safety of the passengers and their return home.
Defense Minister Israel Katz declared: "The severe incident on the FlyDubai plane was a jihadist terror attack attempt, thwarted only thanks to the heroism of several Israeli passengers who stormed the cockpit, subdued the terrorist, and restored control to the crew. The terrorist's intention was to crash the plane."
