The Tel Aviv District Police have issued a five-day closure order for the "Muhammad HaGever" butcher shop in Bat Yam. The business is owned by Muhammad Kian, a Bedouin resident from the south and a well-known TikTok personality, who gained public prominence after October 7 for donating tons of meat to IDF soldiers serving in the Gaza Strip.
The decision to close the shop was made by the Ayalon District Police due to significant concerns for human life. The business has been the target of several serious criminal incidents in recent months, and the primary issue remains Kian's refusal to cooperate with police or identify those allegedly threatening him.
Kian, who has used social media to express his connection to Israel and his desire to promote social cohesion, became a symbol of mutual responsibility, bringing widespread attention to his shop. However, this visibility has been overshadowed by recent criminal activity, including arson attempts.
According to Kian, a masked individual armed with a grenade recently entered the shop, and he lunged at the suspect before the device could be detonated:
«I managed to pin the suspect to the ground to prevent harm to the customers inside. Throughout the struggle, he kept trying to pull the pin, acting like someone who wanted to commit suicide.»
The Ayalon District Police launched an investigation into the wave of incidents, attempting to track down the suspects and those behind them. However, the lack of cooperation from Kian, the victim, has hindered the process.
Due to the ongoing threat to public safety, the police enforced the closure order, which remains in effect until Monday as the investigation continues.
