Fadlon Group Wins Major Tenders to Expand Shamir and Sheba Medical Centers
The Fadlon Group has won two major Ministry of Health tenders to expand Shamir and Sheba medical centers in projects valued at hundreds of millions of shekels.
The Fadlon Group has won two major tenders issued by the Ministry of Health to construct and expand medical infrastructure at the Shamir Medical Center (Assaf Harofeh) and the Sheba Medical Center at Tel Hashomer. These projects, valued at hundreds of millions of shekels, will be executed while the hospitals' medical departments remain fully operational.
Emergency and Forensic Infrastructure at Shamir Medical Center
Under the tender won for Shamir Medical Center, the company will construct the first phase of the Emergency Medicine Center. This facility will be fully fortified against missile strikes targeting the Israeli home front, a necessity that has become increasingly critical during the prolonged fighting of recent years.
The works at the site are scheduled to begin in approximately one month. The initial phase will include the demolition of existing structures, relocation of utility systems, excavation, shoring, infrastructure installation, and laying the foundation floor. Concurrently, the company is also constructing the new National Institute of Forensic Medicine within the Shamir Medical Center complex.
Expansion of Sheba Medical Center
At Sheba Medical Center, the group secured the contract for Phase C of the administration building, neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), and emergency parking structure project, at a cost of approximately 200 million NIS. This phase involves continuing the structural framework, building envelope, systems installation, and interior finishes.
This contract joins the first two phases currently being built by the company, which are valued at approximately 100 million NIS. The entire project, which includes a future Phase D, is estimated at 400 million NIS.
Complex Engineering Under Operational Conditions
The Fadlon Group, which holds an unlimited contractor classification, is one of the few companies in Israel with proven experience in executing complex engineering works within and around active medical departments. These operations require strict adherence to protocols that guarantee the uninterrupted functioning of sensitive, life-saving systems, such as operating rooms, MRI machines, X-ray departments, and laboratories operating 24/7.
