Likud CEO recordings against Minister Gamliel: "Grow up already"

Against the backdrop of the hearings held in the Likud court regarding forgeries in the primaries, exclusive recordings were revealed in the main news edition, containing very harsh statements by Likud CEO David Sharan, one of the closest associates of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, against Minister Gila Gamliel.

"On all channels, calling everyone thieves at night," Sharan fumed at Gamliel. "It doesn't matter all these apologies, you are belittling the Likud. I did not agree to file a petition against the Likud even once. The Likud is more important than any of you and also than me. To come and claim things about lies and thefts when you know it is not true. What are these faces? You are a minister in Israel - grow up already. What is this thing? Accept some criticism. In Be'er Ya'akov do what you want, recount, it is your business. To accept the first results is to accept a ballot box with theft."

The Likud court made a decision today to recount part of the votes for Gamliel and MK Eti Atiya, without the "disputed ballot box" in Be'er Ya'akov. MK Hanoch Milwidsky stated:

"Opening the zip ties of ballot boxes and closing them again without a clear reason, validating invalid votes and converting them to another candidate, results that do not match the number of voters, and an admission of failure and improper management by the security company that was in charge of the integrity of the process. These are only part of the things that were clarified yesterday in the Likud court as part of the discussion on the petition filed by Gila Gamliel."

"I did not recount ballot boxes and I did not file petitions," added Milwidsky. "My position is not expected to change as a result of all these proceedings. But a magnificent ruling party like the Likud cannot continue to turn a blind eye to such fundamental flaws that go to the root of the matter and cast a heavy shadow on its most essential democratic process. What is right to do is at the very least, to order a recount of all the ballot boxes without exception, by an external company with a reputation. There is more than enough time for this until the date of submitting the lists. This is not a matter of Gamliel against Atiya, or the position of other candidates on the list. It is about the essence of democracy in the Likud."
