On the way to Uman: Two arrested at Ben Gurion Airport over West Bank violence

Five suspects were arrested today on suspicion of involvement in violence and public disorder in the West Bank. Two were caught at Ben Gurion Airport before departing for Uman, and one suspect is a soldier in mandatory service. These arrests follow 11 others made in connection with events in the southern Hebron Hills.

Five suspects were arrested today, Thursday, on suspicion of involvement in incidents of violence and public disorder in the West Bank. Two of the suspects, aged 16 and 18, were apprehended at Ben Gurion Airport while attempting to leave the country for Uman.

During the afternoon, an 18-year-old resident of the West Bank was arrested at Ben Gurion Airport on suspicion of involvement in several cases of violence and arson. He was transferred for interrogation at the inter-organizational headquarters of the Judea and Samaria District, and police will request an extension of his detention tomorrow.

As part of the investigation into these incidents, a soldier in mandatory service was also arrested in cooperation with the Military Police. These arrests follow 11 others made as part of the investigation into events in the southern Hebron Hills sector.

In a separate case, a 16-year-old teenager, also a resident of the West Bank, was arrested at Ben Gurion Airport while en route to Uman. Police stated that the teenager was arrested under a warrant for suspected nationalistic offenses in the Samaria sector. He was interrogated at the Ariel station and released under conditions following the questioning.

Another suspect, 29, was arrested in the north of the country by court order after allegedly violating a regional commander's order, including failing to report daily to the police station as required. He was transferred for interrogation and will be brought to court tomorrow.

Additionally, a 19-year-old was arrested on suspicion of involvement in an assault in the village of Kusra last Saturday. He has been transferred for interrogation, and police will request an extension of his detention tomorrow.
