A man about 45 years old was critically wounded by gunfire at a gas station near the Caesarea interchange; his death was pronounced at the hospital. A manhunt for the suspects who fled is underway; the background is believed to be criminal.

Liquidation in broad daylight at a gas station: a senior member of a criminal organization, a resident of Or Akiva about 40 years old, was critically wounded today, Sunday, in the afternoon by gunfire at a gas station near Caesarea. His death was pronounced at Hillel Yaffe Hospital, where he was evacuated.
The police have launched a manhunt for the suspects in the liquidation who likely fled in a vehicle; the background is criminal. The shooting occurred at the Paz gas station, near the Minato sushi bar and the Agenda cafe. Upon receiving the report of the shooting, officers from the Hadera station opened an investigation and began collecting evidence and scanning for suspects.
The police stated that the Coastal District commander is on his way to the scene to hold a special situation assessment with the commanders in the field. At the same time, large police forces are conducting an extensive manhunt, have deployed roadblocks, and are carrying out widespread searches in the area to locate the suspects involved in the act, including with the assistance of a helicopter.
The report of a gunshot victim near the Caesarea interchange was received at the MADA Sharon region dispatch center at 15:51. MADA medics and paramedics began providing him with medical treatment and evacuated him while performing resuscitation efforts.
MADA medics Idan Elmalach and Shoham Asraf, and MADA motorcycle unit medic Elhanan Kafir said:
"We received a report of a wounded person from a violent incident. When we arrived at the scene, we noticed a man about 45 years old who was unconscious, without a pulse and without breathing, suffering from significant penetrating wounds to his body. While performing advanced resuscitation efforts and initial treatment for his wounds, we evacuated him to the hospital in critical condition while fighting for his life."
Shortly thereafter, his death was pronounced.
