The "Pesek Zman" chocolate snack by Elite, from the Strauss Group, returns this year in a special edition as part of a collaboration with the "One in Nine" association to raise awareness for the early detection of breast cancer. This is the fourth consecutive year that the special edition has been released as part of the initiative.

The edition includes packaging with the pink inscription "Take a break" (Hebrew: "Kachi lach pesek zman"), and features a QR code that allows access to an information page on early detection. In addition, scanning provides access to a questionnaire for assessing personal risk of developing breast cancer.

The "One in Nine" association is emphasizing a step this year that begins as early as age 25 — personal risk assessment for breast cancer. The recommendation is to fill out the risk assessment questionnaire and bring it to a doctor to help tailor a personal screening routine.

According to the association, with early detection of breast cancer, recovery chances exceed 90%. Tali Rozin, CEO of the "One in Nine" association, said:

"We welcome the ongoing cooperation and the choice to harness the activity for the sake of women's health and saving lives."

"Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women in Israel, but with early diagnosis, recovery chances exceed 90%. Unfortunately, a quarter of the women diagnosed each year are under the age of 50," added Rozin.

According to her, "We call on every woman from the age of 25 to take responsibility for her health: fill out a risk assessment questionnaire, turn to a doctor with it, and build a personal and adapted follow-up plan. A few minutes of attention to yourself today can make all the difference tomorrow."

As part of the initiative, part of the proceeds from the edition will be transferred to support the "One in Nine" association. The snack is expected to be sold at various points of sale during the month of November and will be integrated into events and conferences related to raising awareness for early detection.

Maya Schneider, Marketing Manager of the Confectionery Division at Strauss, said:

"We are proud to continue the cooperation with the 'One in Nine' association in the vital work it promotes throughout the year and especially this month."

"Pesek Zman is more than a snack; it is part of the Israeli home, it has accompanied us in various life experiences, and it has the power to accompany us in such a moment as well — a moment that calls on women to take a break for the benefit of their health," added Schneider.

At the same time, the "One in Nine" association is promoting a joint charter for saving lives with a variety of organizations in the economy, including the Strauss Group. As part of the charter, the organization commits, with the help of the association, to promote awareness of the importance of early detection of breast cancer. The association, for its part, commits to accompany and support employees or wives of employees who fall ill with breast cancer, throughout all stages of the disease, through a variety of services.

The snack in the special edition comes in a weight of 45 grams and has Badatz Edah HaChareidit kashrut. Among the allergens in the product: milk, wheat (gluten), soy, and nuts. In addition, the product may contain gluten from barley, eggs, sesame, and peanuts.
