Comedian Eli Yatzpan to Receive Lifetime Achievement Award
Israeli comedian Eli Yatzpan will receive a lifetime achievement award from the Israeli Artists Association. The 61-year-old humorist expressed surprise, joking it might be too early for the honor.

After nearly four decades on stage and television, Israeli comedian Eli Yatzpan will receive a lifetime achievement award this year from the Israeli Artists Association (AMI). However, the 61-year-old comedian was surprised by the decision, noting that he feels it is a bit too early and joking that organizers might have confused him with Yaakov Bodo.
In an interview on Keshet 12, Yatzpan discussed his iconic impressions, revealing that he learns characters primarily through listening rather than watching videos. He named Ariel Sharon and Shimon Peres as his favorite impressions, noting a genuine friendship developed with Peres over the years.
Despite his legendary status, Yatzpan remains grounded at home, where he says his children are unimpressed by his comedic talents. He will officially receive the prestigious honor alongside other cultural figures on December 23 at the Heichal HaTarbut in Petah Tikva.
