The Central Elections Committee is mobilizing nearly 300,000 personnel to manage the upcoming national vote, according to acting director-general Adv. Dean Livne. Preparations entered high gear following the Knesset recess in July, setting off a massive logistical undertaking across the country.

Speaking to the press, Livne detailed the immense operational scale required for the manual election process. A total of 12,335 polling stations will be established nationwide, including 12,018 standard booths alongside specialized locations in hospitals, prisons, and areas hosting displaced citizens. Each station will serve an average of 500 to 600 eligible voters in public facilities such as schools, community centers, and kindergartens.

The logistical footprint extends to heavy paper consumption, utilizing 250 tons of paper to produce 450 million ballot slips, much of which is slated for recycling. Staffing comprises approximately 100,000 election day workers and regional committee members, supplemented by some 200,000 party-employed representatives.

Addressing security and the integrity of the vote, Livne emphasized the stringent safeguards built into the manual counting system. Every ballot box is tallied on-site by representatives from three different political factions, independent observers, two non-partisan secretaries, and an election purity inspector who records the entire procedure on camera. Police officers will also be stationed at virtually every polling site across the country to counter potential interference or disinformation campaigns.
