Hundreds of members of Israel's Druze community gathered in Isfiya for a campaign rally held by MK Gadi Eisenkot, leader of the Yashar party and a candidate for prime minister. The event, drawing crowds from the Golan Heights and the Galilee, underscored the community's traditional support for Eisenkot, bolstered by the presence of retired Maj. Gen. Kamil Abu Rukun, an Isfiya native and number 13 on the party's list.

Community leaders voiced deep-seated grievances regarding longstanding issues, most notably the controversial Kaminitz Law on illegal construction and the Nation-State Law, which many Druze view as discriminatory despite their extensive military service in the IDF. Abu Rukun addressed the crowd, promising legislative reforms to enshrine equality and accelerate housing and infrastructure development in Druze municipalities.

Taking the stage following an introduction by veteran broadcaster Rafi Ginat, Eisenkot offered a public apology for failing to block the Nation-State Law during his tenure as IDF chief of staff. He pledged to introduce a corrective amendment within his first hundred days in office if elected, emphasizing measurable outcomes rather than empty campaign promises.

Addressing the upcoming Knesset elections, Eisenkot urged supporters to overcome voter apathy, noting that turnout in previous election cycles has been low in the region. He expressed confidence in defeating the current government and called for unity, assuring attendees that personal egos would be set aside to achieve effective governance.
