Gadi Eisenkot Slams Channel 14 Over Biographical Error in New Docuseries
Yashar! party leader Gadi Eisenkot slammed Channel 14 after the network falsely claimed he grew up in Afula, clarifying he was born in Tiberias and raised in Eilat.
Gadi Eisenkot, leader of the "Yashar!" party and former IDF Chief of Staff, sharply criticized Channel 14 after the network made a glaring error regarding his birthplace and biography.
Channel 14 published a promotional post for a new investigative docuseries titled "Eisenkot," which examines his military career and leadership. The promotional text described him as "the boy from Afula who reached the top of the IDF." Eisenkot quickly responded on social media, correcting the error with a sharp jab: "You haven't broadcast a single minute of your 'investigation' yet, and here is the first lie: I love Afula, but I was born in Tiberias and grew up in Eilat."
This is not the first legal or public clash between the former Chief of Staff and the network. In December 2025, Eisenkot filed a one million shekel defamation lawsuit against Channel 14 and military commentator Noam Amir over what he termed baseless allegations regarding his conduct as a public company chairman in 2021.
