Eisenkot Blasts Netanyahu Over October 7 Warnings and Treason Theory
Yashar! party leader Gadi Eisenkot harshly criticized Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in a radio interview, accusing him of spreading lies and cultivating a treason conspiracy theory regarding October 7.
Gadi Eisenkot, leader of the Yashar! party, launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his family during an interview with 103FM, accusing them of relentlessly spreading lies and cultivating a treason conspiracy theory regarding the October 7 massacre.
"It is a choice between political illusions and people who offer a policy of honesty and integrity. He is the man who said that 'Yashar is a bluff,' and he believes it. He sees honesty as weakness and manipulation as a tool for survival, and he is doing this in this election campaign as well," Eisenkot stated.
Accusations and the October 7 Warnings
Eisenkot asserted that Netanyahu's success is a disaster for the State of Israel, claiming the prime minister lies at every turn and fosters the treason narrative. While acknowledging deep failures on October 7, he firmly rejected any notion of treason. He further revealed that weeks before the attacks, Netanyahu received a series of warnings about an impending Hamas offensive but failed to act, noting he personally delivered a letter to the premier on August 16.
The success of Netanyahu is the disaster of the State of Israel. This is a person who lies at every turn. He manages, unfortunately, to root the treason theory. It is clear that there was a deep failure; treason there was not.
Political Alliances and Upcoming Elections
Addressing the recent fluctuations in opposition polls, Eisenkot expressed confidence that the current government would be defeated in the upcoming October 27, 2026 Knesset elections. Regarding potential coalitions with Arab parties, Eisenkot drew a hard line, stating that any partner must recognize Hamas as a terrorist organization that must be dismantled.
In response, the Likud party issued a scathing rebuttal, accusing Eisenkot of spreading lies to cover up plans to form a left-wing government alongside Yair Golan, Avigdor Lieberman, and Arab factions.
