An 18-year-old resident of Eilat has been arrested and is suspected of committing rape and other severe sexual offenses against 13 minors, some as young as seven, on multiple occasions across various locations. According to the Israel Police, the arrest follows a complex 20-day investigation conducted by the local youth division.

The investigation was launched after a complaint was filed with the Eilat Police station regarding the suspected abuse of a minor. As findings developed, investigators expanded the scope of the inquiry, uncovering evidence linking the suspect to additional victims among local minors.

Following the conclusion of the probe, prosecutors submitted a notice of intent to file charges. The Southern District Prosecutor's Office is scheduled to officially indict the suspect tomorrow and request his continued detention until the end of legal proceedings.

Commander of the Eilat Region, Superintendent Alon Kalfon, emphasized the severity of the case: "Crimes against children and minors are among the most heinous offenses, and we are committed to deploying all available resources to protect them."

In response to the case, police authorities announced coordinated efforts with municipal, educational, and welfare agencies in Eilat to enhance child safety protocols and strengthen preventive measures against sexual abuse in the city.
