Two Dead in Tragic Drownings at the Sea of Galilee and Ashkelon
A man in his 30s drowned at the Sea of Galilee and a 17-year-old boy was found dead after drowning at Delilah Beach in Ashkelon following an extensive search.
A man in his 30s drowned to death today (Saturday) near the segregated beach at the Sea of Galilee. The man was pulled from the water unconscious, and medics and paramedics were forced to pronounce him dead at the scene.
Magen David Adom (MDA) paramedics Eyal Avishar and Miri Trachtman said: "When we arrived at the beach, an unconscious man with no pulse and no breathing was brought out to us. We performed medical checks and sadly had to pronounce him dead on the spot."
Earlier today, a 17-year-old boy who drowned at Delilah Beach in Ashkelon and had been missing since yesterday was found lifeless. MDA paramedics Ben Zion Tetro, Eitan Lasri, and senior MDA medic Yaron Kapach recounted: "Following extensive searches by emergency forces, this morning we saw a 17-year-old boy on the shoreline unconscious, without a pulse and without breathing. We performed medical examinations and were forced to pronounce him dead at the scene."
