Drugs, cash and illegal residents: a night of arrests in south Tel Aviv

Enforcement operation in south Tel Aviv: The police updated today (Wednesday) that they carried out an enforcement operation last night at several locations suspected of illegal drug trafficking, alongside the issuance of numerous traffic tickets. As part of the activity, the forces raided a building on Shoken Street, seized many findings, and arrested a suspect who was transferred for further investigation.

In another activity, a search was carried out according to a court order in an apartment on Sha'arei Teshuva Street following an indication that dangerous drugs were being held there. As part of the activity, the forces seized over 228,000 dollars and over 31,000 shekels in cash, which are suspected to be funds originating from drug trafficking. Consequently, a suspect who was at the scene was arrested and later transferred for further investigation at the police station.

As part of the operation, and alongside dealing with centers of illegal drug trafficking, the enforcement forces issued 25 tickets for traffic violations and carried out 20 confiscations of vehicles. In one of the cases, the forces noticed a scooter rider driving on the sidewalk on Levinsky Street. The suspect was arrested and transferred for further investigation after it was discovered during a check that he is a resident of the territories who is staying in Israel without legal authorization.
