In the viral video, Bakari is seen sedated and brought into the veterinary operating room, where the medical team conducted various examinations. At one point, a staff member is even seen holding the massive primate's giant hand.
The footage quickly went viral, pulling in over four million views and thousands of comments. Meanwhile, Disney continues to invest in conservation efforts for gorillas in the wild. The Disney Conservation Fund recently awarded new grants totaling 100,000 dollars to three organizations dedicated to protecting gorillas: the Gorilla Rehabilitation and Conservation Education (GRACE) center, the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund, and Gorilla Doctors. The funding is aimed at supporting preservation efforts for wild gorilla populations and safeguarding their natural habitats.
