The hit drama series Matokim is returning for a new season with filming starting soon, featuring singer Ido Malka after a major physical transformation and recent personal changes.
The acclaimed drama series Matokim premiered about two and a half years ago and shattered viewing records. Created by Assi Azar, Noam Nevo, and Yael Katz, the show stars Rotem Sela, Amos Tamam, and Azar himself, who took on an acting role for the first time in his long career. It aired on the ZOOM channel, HOT VOD Young, and Next TV.
Ahead of the highly anticipated new season, filming is set to begin in the coming days, with casting officially finalized. One of the biggest names joining the upcoming season is actor and singer Ido Malka. For the role, Malka underwent a dramatic physical transformation, shaving off the beard that had become his trademark.
As you may recall, Malka has recently experienced a turbulent period, following his recent split from his partner of a year and a half, Yuval Raphael. Shortly before that, Ido announced another parting of ways, this time professionally, leaving his agency after just a year and a half to embark on an exciting new path.
The two originally met and fell in love while participating in The Next Star for Eurovision, where their romance blossomed on screen during the reality TV season in which Raphael clinched first place and earned the right to represent the country.
