Hard to watch: minor hits elderly Palestinian with a rod while his friend records
A video circulated online shows a Jewish minor hitting an elderly disabled Palestinian, while his friend films. The two, aged 16 and 17, were arrested and interrogated. The police also confiscated the Ranger vehicle seen in the video, in which the teenagers allegedly drove without a license.

Two suspects, a 16-year-old minor from the Avigail settlement and a 17-year-old from Jerusalem, were arrested last night (between Saturday and Sunday) following a shocking video circulated online, in which one of them is seen hitting an elderly man who uses a crutch, while his friend records the act. At the end of their interrogation, the 16-year-old suspect was detained for assault, and his partner was sent to house arrest under restrictive conditions.
Yesterday evening (Saturday), a report reached the police, along with footage published and circulated on social media, in which a young suspect is seen confronting an elderly man in Khirbet Rakiz near Susya in the southern Hebron Hills, and at a certain point hitting him on the back with a rod. At the same time, the suspect's friend, a 17-year-old Jerusalem resident, stands nearby and films the act using a mobile phone.
Immediately upon receiving the report and the footage, investigators from the Hebron station in the Judea district began investigative actions and attempts to locate the suspects, and last night, as mentioned, the two were located and taken for questioning. In addition, the Ranger vehicle used while driving without a license was seized by the police. Later today, the detained suspect will be brought to court for a hearing regarding his case.
The police investigation continues.
