Two raids in Haifa: Brothel exposed and illegal worker caught in business

Two businesses in Haifa were closed by administrative orders after an illegal resident was found in one of them, and the other was suspected of being used as a brothel and a place for prostitution.

Haifa station police officers operated in recent days at two locations in the city. During an operation on HaHashmal Street, a place was found that was suspected of being used as a brothel and a place for prostitution. Following the investigation's findings, the commander of the Coastal District Police signed an administrative closure order for the place for 30 days.

In another operation, on HaAtzmaut Street in the city, an illegal resident was found working at a business. Following the findings, an administrative closure order was issued for the business for 21 days.

Police stated that they will continue to act against brothels, prostitution, and the employment of illegal residents, using the administrative and criminal tools at their disposal.

Meanwhile, nine illegal residents were arrested tonight (between Thursday and Friday) in an apartment in south Tel Aviv, after they allegedly threw stones at passersby from it.

During an operation by Central District Border Police fighters in the area, the fighters heard shouting from one of the buildings. A citizen who approached them said that shortly before, stones had been thrown at her and other passersby from the building's window, and she pointed them toward the structure.

The fighters arrived at one of the apartments and knocked on the door, which was opened by two suspects. During searches conducted at the scene, seven additional suspects were found. Upon checking them, it turned out, according to the police, that all nine are staying in Israel illegally.

The suspects were arrested and transferred for further investigation at the Sharet station in the Tel Aviv District.
