Mourning in the media world: The mother of a senior journalist has passed away

Mourning in the world of Haredi media and politics: Pnina Shulman, wife of Amitai Shulman, one of the editors of the Hamodia newspaper and a man who has managed the United Torah Judaism faction in the Knesset for decades, passed away over the weekend at the age of 72, following a period in which she battled a severe illness.

Shulman lived in the Ramot Polin neighborhood of Jerusalem and is survived by her husband, children, and family members. Among her children is the journalist Eliezer Shulman, one of the most senior journalists in the Haredi sector, who currently serves as an editor of a supplement as well as a military and political correspondent for the Hamevaser newspaper. In the past, he held senior positions at the Mishpacha newspaper for many years.

Her husband, Amitai Shulman, has been considered a well-known figure for decades both in the political arena and in the world of journalism. Alongside his long-standing work at the Hamodia newspaper, he has served for decades in a managerial role for the United Torah Judaism faction in the Knesset and accompanied its activities throughout many political periods.

Pnina Shulman was born in Givatayim in 1954 to her parents, Zeev and Lea Grinspan. Later, she married Amitai Shulman, and the two established their home in Jerusalem. According to reports, she had suffered from severe pain in recent years.

Her son, Eliezer Shulman, also continues a long family tradition in the field of media. He began his journalistic path at a young age, and subsequently spent about three decades as a member of the Mishpacha editorial staff, where he dealt with news, military, and security affairs. In recent years, he moved to the Hamevaser newspaper, where he is one of the newspaper's editors.
