Bereaved families call against introducing foreign forces into Gaza: "Do not stab our children in the back"

The struggle of bereaved families against the introduction of foreign forces into Gaza continues. In a video released by families from the Heroism Forum, whose loved ones fell during the war, they appeal to the Prime Minister and demand that security in the Gaza Strip remain solely in the hands of the IDF. Furthermore, they urge cabinet members to draw strength from the spirit of the war heroes who sacrificed their lives for these goals.

In the video, the families state:

"Mr. Prime Minister, we are members of the Heroism Forum, the bereaved families. You promised us time and again that control over the Gaza Strip would be only in the hands of the IDF and not in the hands of any foreign entity. Our children went into battle because they were lovers of life. They wanted children to be able to play peacefully in the playgrounds, they wanted to bring security and peace to us all. We will always grieve their passing, but at least let us know that in their death they enabled life."

The families further add:

"We hear about introducing foreign forces into Gaza, we hear about the rehabilitation of the Strip. We demand that you keep your promise and show courage and heroism like our children showed in the war. Have we forgotten so quickly what happened before October 7th? Have we forgotten the massacre, the rape, the slaughter? Our children fought and sacrificed their lives so that the people of Israel would live here forever."

"Mr. Prime Minister, the voice of our children's blood cries out: it is not in vain that we carry this pain day after day, and we ask, do not stab our heroic children in the back. Mr. Prime Minister, cabinet members, you have committed several times that security in the Gaza Strip will be solely in the hands of the IDF. One cannot rely on any foreign force, only the IDF," the families conclude in their video message.
