The Democrats Mobilize 15,000 Volunteers for Israel's Election Finish Line
The Democrats party, led by Yair Golan, is mobilizing 15,000 volunteers for Israel's upcoming elections, conducting extensive field operations, airport outreach, and polling station monitoring.

The Democrats party, led by Yair Golan, is entering the final stretch of the election campaign with a grassroots network of approximately 15,000 volunteers nationwide. Party officials claim this represents the largest and strongest field operation among competing parties, emphasizing that unlike other factions that employ paid staff for campaign needs, their groundwork relies entirely on volunteers.
Ground Campaign and Public Outreach
In recent weeks, the party has organized hundreds of morning and afternoon protest and outreach shifts on highway overpasses, targeting commuters. Additionally, over 100 information booths have been established across the country, hundreds of election signs posted, and some 300 volunteers assigned to phone banking for undecided voters.
Starting Wednesday through Monday, the party is operating a dedicated booth at Ben Gurion International Airport to welcome Israelis returning from abroad to vote. The party describes their arrival as a "tzav shemoneh" (Order 8 emergency mobilization) to protect Israeli democracy. On Saturday evening at 18:30, the party plans to hold the "Great Democracy March" from Rabin Square to Hostages Square in Tel Aviv.
Election Day Preparations and Security Concerns
The pinnacle of the field operation is expected on election day itself. According to party data, over 11,000 volunteers will deploy across the country, from Kibbutz Dan in the north to Eilat in the south, in what the Democrats define as the largest voluntary field operation in history. The party plans an organized presence at more than 1,500 polling sites and hundreds of ballot stations in rural areas.
Simultaneously, party leadership has expressed concerns regarding potential disinformation campaigns, ballot tampering, and an increase in provocations or violence during the final days and on election day itself, alleging possible links to groups associated with Minister Itamar Ben Gvir.
"Our 15,000 democracy fighters are standing as a civilian shield across the entire country to safeguard the integrity of the elections and ensure no vote is stolen," said Democrats CEO Omer Lubaton-Granot.
