Lawsuit Reveals Millions in Fees Charged by Major Israeli Engineering Firm
A lawsuit filed against David Engineers reveals that the prominent Israeli structural engineering firm charges millions of shekels per project, as former subcontractor Tamir Nahari sues for 8 million shekels in unpaid wages.

David Engineers, one of Israel's leading structural engineering firms, collects fees running into millions of shekels per project, according to financial appendices attached to a lawsuit filed against the company. Tamir Nahari, a former employee and subcontractor who is suing the firm for 8 million shekels in unpaid wages, detailed the various work stages and his claimed compensation per phase, shedding light on the firm's lucrative revenue streams.
Founded in 1990 by Yael and Israel David, who continue to manage the company to this day, David Engineers has worked on some 3,300 projects across 24 countries and employs 160 staff members. The company specializes in structural design for skyscrapers, office complexes, residential towers, hotels, and public buildings, alongside civil engineering consulting and infrastructure planning.
Major Projects and Revenue Breakdown
Nahari worked as a salaried employee from 2018 to 2021 before transitioning to an independent subcontractor via a company he established. According to his claims, the parties agreed he would receive 37.5% of the client payments for projects he handled, alongside a monthly advance of 100,000 shekels beginning in January 2025. Last year, the parties discussed terminating their agreement, and in February, Yael David offered him 300,000 shekels to settle the remaining balance, citing dissatisfaction with his performance.
"The company not only failed to pay the plaintiffs the full remuneration they were due, but also misrepresented the actual amounts transferred by clients, reporting lower figures than what was paid in reality," the lawsuit alleges.
Based on Nahari's claim to 37.5% of total fees, the financial appendices outline revenues generated by David Engineers across several major urban renewal and commercial projects (excluding VAT):
-
Pinkas 40-32, Tel Aviv (Ashdar urban renewal) - 625,000 shekels
