The cybersecurity firm Cyera has raised an additional $400 million from the growth equity arm of Goldman Sachs Alternatives, according to a report by The Wall Street Journal. This investment is an extension of a $600 million funding round completed by the company in June, which valued Cyera at $12 billion. With the new investment, the total volume of the round, including the extension, reaches $1 billion.

Massive Growth and Market Demand

According to the report, Cyera has raised $1.94 billion since June 2025, over a period of about 15 months. This fundraising aligns with a wave of major investments in the cybersecurity sector, driven by investor expectations that risks associated with the development of artificial intelligence will increase demand for security products. The company's valuation is now estimated at well over $12 billion.

"The decision to raise funds stemmed mainly from the opportunity to bring in Goldman Sachs as a strategic investor rather than an immediate need for cash," said Yotam Segev, CEO and co-founder of Cyera.

Segev noted that investor interest reflects a surge in demand from enterprise customers, with Cyera recently signing its first deal with a client paying more than $10 million annually. However, he cautioned that a significant portion of the potential market is still far from widely adopting such solutions, noting that current buyers are primarily early adopters.

Acquisitions and IPO Outlook

The additional capital will also allow Cyera to continue pursuing acquisitions. Earlier this month, the company completed the acquisition of Oasis Security for $1 billion in cash and stock. Oasis specializes in managing non-human digital identities, such as AI agents and automated software tools used to access organizational systems.

While Cyera aims for an initial public offering (IPO) and is working to prepare for it, Segev emphasized that there is no immediate urgency to execute the move, allowing the company to continue expanding as a private entity.
