Maritime convoy from the USA: thousands of tons of military equipment and combat vehicles arrived in Israel

The Ministry of Defense and the IDF have successfully completed a special procurement and transport operation, in which thousands of tons of military equipment and combat vehicles arrived in Israel. The reception and unloading of the cargo ship at the port of Haifa is part of the ongoing support effort for the IDF's preparation for all security and operational scenarios.

The exceptionally large cargo that arrived from the United States includes a large amount of equipment and weapons intended for the direct strengthening of the readiness and operational continuity of the ground forces. Among other things, essential D9 bulldozers, Humvee vehicles, advanced JLTV armored vehicles, and heavy Oshkosh trucks arrived on board the ship.

The defense equipment was purchased in the United States by the Ministry of Defense's procurement delegation. The operation to bring the ship and unload it in Israel required complex and large-scale logistical coordination between a series of entities in the defense establishment.

The joint operation was commanded and overseen by the procurement delegation, the unit of the Commissioner for International Defense Transport in the Directorate of Procurement (MANHAR), the transport and logistics unit in the AMUN division, the Planning Directorate (AGAT), the Technological and Logistics Directorate (ATAL) in the IDF, the Ground Forces, and other security entities.
